In late 2008 Ned and the Kellys gathered in
Charleville Queensland and under the very experienced and
creative hand of David Richards recorded a collection of around
20 original songs. 13 tracks from this session are now available
on the self titled CD “Ned and the Kellys”.
Based in Charleville, South West Queensland, this highly
respected bush band is now nearing its eighteenth year entertaining
audiences from Charleville to Winton, Birdsville to St George,
not to mention Dublin to Derry in Ireland.
This motley collection of local larrikins got together
by accident at the Booga Woongaroo Festival in Charleville
in 1991, and neither the band nor the district has fully
recovered since. The aim of the band is to play music and
enjoy it whilst trusting that the audiences will too.
